Frequently Asked Questions

Does Dr. Dahan take insurance?

Dr. Dahan does not take insurance or have any direct interaction with insurance companies. Through Dr. Dahan's online portal, Luminello, you will be able to generate an electronic invoice and receipt that you may submit to your insurance plan once you have paid for treatment. If you have out-of-network coverage or reimbursement, we recommend that you call your individual health insurance plan before scheduling an appointment in order to find out if you have out-of-network coverage, including information about your out-of-network deductible and adjusted rate of reimbursement for visits. Insurance typically does not cover the full cost of the visits.

Does Dr. Dahan offer telepsychiatry (remote, video appointments from the comfort of your home)?

Dr. Dahan meets with every patient in person for at least the first session, but is happy to provide follow-up care either in person or via telepsychiatry (over the HIPPA compliant video platform doxy.me).

Is there parking available at Dr. Dahan's office?

There is free parking available at Dr. Dahan's Englewood office.

What happens if I want to talk to Dr. Dahan after a session?  Does she take phone calls in the evening?

Dr. Dahan makes every effort to be available to her patients. She uses phone, text and email communication primarily for the purposes of scheduling. If concerns arise in between appointments, Dr. Dahan will attempt to schedule an 'urgent' appointment during which she will discuss your concern with you. This policy ensures that Dr. Dahan can give you the attention and quality of treatment that you deserve.

Do I have to schedule an appointment just for a medication refill?

Dr. Dahan provides prescriptions during appointments.  Medications are one modality of treatment that Dr. Dahan uses, and she must see you regularly in order to prescribe medications.
